It is very difficult to maintain stardom in every field and we have seen a lot of celebs falling from grace because they couldn’t handle their success and stardom. A number of celebrities who could have gone on to achieve great heights in their career have now faded into oblivion because of that one incident which ultimately destroyed their career.

Let’s take a look at Indian celebs who destroyed their careers on Live TV!

1. Mandakini

Mandakini is best remembered for her role in the 1985 movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili. In the year 1994, Mandakini’s picture with under world don Dawood Ibrahim went viral in media. Later it was revealed that Dawood pressurized Rishi kapoor to cast Mandakini in his film and also that Mandakini was Dawood’s mistress. And because of these controversies her career suffered and  as a result she decided to quit. Her last movie was Zordaar which released in 1996 and later, she settled down in Mumbai after marrying a doctor.

2Shakti Kapoor

Shakti Kapoor is known for his villainous and comic roles in Hindi films, he has featured in more than 700 films throughout his career. In 2005, a certain news channel conducted a sting operation on him. The video shows him asking for sexual favours from an undercover reporter. This incident sparked a controversy in Bollywood and Kapoor was banned by the Film & Television Producers Guild of India. Association of Indian Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers decided not to ban him as no allegations against him were proved. One week later, however, the Film & Television Producers Guild lifted the ban.

3Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi had a wonderful start in his career, but following his infamous fight with Salman Khan, he gradually faded away from the limelight. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the reason behind Vivek and Salman’s rivalry. While Salman was her ex-boyfriend, Vivek was Aishwarya’s beau after Salman. Although Vivek had a promising debut in Company, followed by a hit romantic movie Saathiyan, his career graph went down after getting into a fight with Sallu bhai. According to Vivek, Salman drunk-called 42 times harassing him over this new love and that is when Oberoi lost his cool. He called a press meet to name and shame Sallu publicly. After realising what he had done, he apologies repeatedly, bu he couldn’t bury the hatched.

4. Sreesanth

Sreesanth was one of the best fast-medium-pace bowlers in the Indian squad, but he cut his career short by himself. He was banned for life from all forms of cricket by BCCI, because of his connection in spot-fixing in IPL 2013. He convinced the police officials that he made use of the towel to provide an indication to the bookie on live TV.

5. Papon

Singer Papon, has been embroiled in controversy for allegedly forcefully kissing a minor on a reality show – Voice India Kids. A Supreme Court lawyer has filed a complaint against Assamese singer with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights for an ‘inappropriate’ act of showing affection to a minor girl. A video in which Papon is seen planting a kiss on the lips of a minor girl contestant of the &TV show became viral online. Post this incident, Papon quits the show. And most of his projects gets cancelled. Not only this, many music directors from the industry boycott him.

6. Vinod Kambli

Vinod Kambli was a cricket sensation in the past and people called him and Sachin Tendulkar as the top cricketers. However, in the year 1996, Kambli was held responsible for match-fixing between the country (India) and Sri Lanka. Later, his career gets downfall.
