Yesterday, we told you that bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan has been summoned by Thane police in Maharashtra in connection with betting in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

And now, the actor reached Thane police station to record his statement in the case. The actor reached their with bodyguard Shera.

According to reports, the actor’s name came into fold after a bookie, identified as Sonu Jalan, revealed his name during an investigation.

The reports claimed that Arbaaz was betting on IPL matches and lost Rs 2.8 crore in bets following which he was receiving threats from Jalan.

The anti-extortion cell of the Thane Crime Branch on Tuesday had arrested Sonu Yogendra Jalan, alias Sonu Malad, one of the country’s leading cricket bookies. He was arrested in connection with a betting racket that was busted in Dombivali on May 16.

The anti-extortion unit of Thane police claims that his arrest would further expose the betting racket and bring to light an army of bookies.
