It’s Confirmed! Urvashi Dholakia confirms that Hina Khan is new Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’

Ekta Kapoor’s romantic saga ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ is back with the second season. The show on-air on September 25. Actors like Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes are playing the role of Anurag and Prerna in the show.

However, everyone is eagerly waiting for the vamp-Komolika’s entry in the show. Everybody wants to know who will play the role of Komolika.

Amidst all this, Urvashi Dholakia, who played Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay has confirmed Hina Khan will play the vamp character in the Ekta Kapoor show.

While talking to Spotboye, Urvashi said, “Ekta (Kapoor) put her trust in me 18 years ago, the same she is doing now on Hina. Ekta has an eye for detail. Ekta has an eye for performers. Like she extracted what she wanted from me, I am sure she will extract it from Hina too. The baton has been passed and I wish Hina ‘Good Luck’ in all honesty.”

On being asked about inevitable comparisons between the new and the old Komolika, Urvashi replied, “Comparisons will be there and you really can’t stop them from doing that, but people eventually catch on. And let’s take the case of millennials. They probably don’t even know me, it would relatively easy for them to relate to Hina.”

Recently, Ekta Kapoor shared Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 new promo on social media with a caption that rread, ““Launching big…On tv …too much promotion…! Never usually pans out…leads to over expectations! But with grit n hard work of a whole team n without expecting n predicting the outcome we hope ppl accept #kasautiizindagiikay ! ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’ season 1 launched in 2001 and starred Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan in the lead roles as Prerna and Anurag. In no time, the serial with a Bengali backdrop went on to become a massive hit with the audience lapping up on the romance of the couple. While, Urvashi Dholakia played the vicious Komolika, and her style and swag made her character an iconic one.
