Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is all set to star in Indian Air Force pilot, Gunjan Saxena’s biopic The Kargil Girl.
Today, Gunjan turns a year older and on the occasion of her big day, Janhvi who is playing the lead role in the biopic shares a heartfelt note for Gunjan and thanked her for teaching her the true meaning of bravery.

Janhvi shared a picture of herself with Gunjan and wrote, “Happy Birthday Gunjan mam! Thank you for teaching me the true meaning of bravery, the importance of working hard and sincerely and for paving the way for millions of women in our country. You’re an inspiration and a hero, without ever having tried to be. Your story has helped me believe in myself, and hopefully will help others too.”
In the picture, Janhvi can be seen donning the airforce uniform while Saxena is seen in a blue salwar suit.
The Kargil Girl is based on the real-life story and struggles of IAF pilot and flight leutainnet Gunjan Saxena. Gunjan was among one of the woman pilot in the Indian Air Force to go on Kargil war and was honored with the Shaurya Chakra.

The film is being produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and it also stars Angad Bedi and Pankaj Tripathi in the pivotal roles.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film is all set to hit the silver screens on March 13, 2020.
