4 days after Jayalithaa‘s demise, Kamal Haasan‘s ex Gautami has taken to her blog to question the alleged secrecy around Jayalalithaa’s death.
In her official blog, she wrote a post addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with questions about the death of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
Gautami questioned the absolute secrecy maintained during Jayalalithaa’s 75-day treatment.
Jayalalithaa died on December 5 at the age of 68 following cardiac arrest. She was admitted to Apollo Hospital on September 22 in Chennai after she complained of fever and dehydration.

Very few details were disclosed about her condition. Apollo Hospital medical bulletins were the only source of information. Nobody had been allowed access to her and many dignitaries who visited her with deep concern were denied an opportunity to convey their wishes in person.

“Why this secrecy and isolation of a beloved public leader and the head of the Tamil Nadu government? What/whose authority restricted access to the late Chief Minister? Who were the concerned persons who were making the decisions about Selvi Dr. J Jayalalithaa’s treatment and care when her health was apparently in such a delicate state?,” the actor asked in her post.
The actor said it is a primary concern and right of every citizen of India to be aware of and informed about their democratically elected leaders and the state of their health and their ability to perform their duties for the larger good of the people.
