Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, who welcomed their first baby boy, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on December 20 have been facing flak since they announced the name of their son. While a few celebrities have supported and endorsed the couple’s choice of name for their child, many have questioned it.
Indian filmmaker and producer Karan Johar, who introduced the social media to the newborn’s name, has broken his silence and expressed his displeasure towards the nasty trolls.

The director was asked at a recent press conference for Filmfare Awards where he said, “It’s a proud moment for a wonderful family and there should be no trolls.” He also added that it is their prerogative what they name their son and that the “name is special to the parents, to the grandparents, and to the entire family.”
The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director came in full support of the family and added, “We should have spread the love at that moment. I felt so happy for this couple that delivered the blue-eyed beautiful baby boy. What has happened is really ridiculous and it’s their decision what they name their child and it should be nobody else’s prerogative. Having said that the internet is the place where everybody is entitled to giving an opinion, so fine, they expressed it and that’s what a troll is.”
