Actor Karan Oberoi granted bail by Bombay High Court in rape case

TV actor Karan Oberoi who was recently arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a woman has finally received a bail from the Bombay High Court on Friday.

The court granted bail to Oberoi on a surety of Rs 50,000.

The actor who has been behind the bars for over a month now had been trying really hard to secure a bail.

An FIR was registered at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai under sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code against Oberoi.

According to the police, the actor-singer allegedly raped the woman on the pretext of marrying her.

It was on May 25 that the female astrologer was attacked by two unknown bikers when she was out for her morning walk. Then, on May 31, the cops nabbed four people for their involvement in the attack. Next, it was reported that the attack on the woman, was ordered by her lawyer, Ali Kaashif Khan.
