Kesari movie review

Kesari movie review

Story of the movie:

The movie starts by introducing Havildar Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar) as a righteous soldier who does not shy away from disobeying orders. In order to save an Afghani girl, who was being assassinated by her own, Ishar turns rogue to his own British master and saves her. This leads Afghans to retaliate causing a lot of damage. Ishar then gets transferred to the fort of Saragarhi which is home to the brave 36 Sikh Regiment.

The movie is based on the historic battle between these 21 Sikh soldiers and around 10,000 Afghan invaders, belonging to the Afridi and Orakzai mountain tribe.

Star Performance:

Akshay Kumar as Havildar Ishar Singh has delivered a brilliant performance in the film. He is known as one of the best action stars of the industry and he proves it again. Parineeti Chopra has a limited role in Kesari, but she has done justice to her role. Apart from Akshay, all other actors portraying the characters of the Sikh soldiers also did a good job.

Music Direction:

The film’s music is good. Songs like Sanu Kehndi and Teri Mitti are already hit among the audience.

Direction:

The film’s direction is good. It is full of high-octane action sequences. Dialogues are powerful and there are a number of shots that deserve special applause. However, there are a few sequences that appear little over-dramatic and surreal.

Watch Or Not:

Kesari is definitely a good movie to watch.
