Late actor Om Puri’s wife Nandita files police complaint against Divya Dutta!

It has been more than a year since we lost our one of the most renowned actor Om Puri. The actor passes away on January 6, 2017 due to cardiac arrest.

Recently, there were news doing the rounds that actress Divya Dutta is coming back with Om Puri’s popular play ‘Teri Amrita’. Apart from Divya Dutta, the play will also feature Gurdas Maan. But, according to latest reports, the project has hit a major roadblock. Because, Om Puri’s wife Nandita Puri is not happy with this decision.

Nandita has an objection to Divya taking over the project, under her banner Nalini Dutta Productions. Divya had then approached Puri’s wife, Nandita, with regards to buying the copyright for the play.

According to Spotboye, Teri Amrita was the original copyright of Majma Arts, a company run by Om Puri. Divya laid out an elaborate document in front of Nandita, with Terms & Conditions, to buy the copyright under her banner, Nalini Dutta Productions. However, after detailed discussions, it became clear, that Nandita was not on the same page as Divya, and she wasn’t ready to part with the copyright.

Divya decided to go ahead with the project. But, this thing didn’t goes well down with Nandita and she filed a complaint against Divya Dutta, Javed Siddiqui and Amrik Gill.

Teri Amrita, in Punjabi, featuring Divya Dutta and Gurdas Maan, was slated to premiere in Mumbai on September 9. But under the current circumstances, if this will be possible or not?
