Television actress Leena Jumani who is playing the role of Tanu in popular show Kumkum Bhagya is quitting the show.
The actress confirms her exit from the show and revealed to Tellychakkar that the 20-year leap is the reason behind her decision.
Leena Jumani finally breaks her silence
Later, while talking to Spotboye, Leena said “I don’t want to play a 51-year old woman, for now at least. I am not saying what I will do after 2-3 years in my career. But for now, I don’t feel from within that I should age by 20 years in the show. I guess I am already 30-31 in the show now. FYI, I was earlier shown as 22-23 and I did the 7-year leap without any fuss, lekin ab iske aage nahin please.”
She added that she won’t stop paying visits to her friends even after leaving the show. Leena said, “I can always come on the sets and meet my friends whenever I want. I won’t leave on a bad note. So of course, I am attached. But I have been asked to do something jiske liye mera mann nahin maan raha. I wouldn’t have left if things hadn’t changed. This is the only reason why I have decided to leave.”
