After Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala won’t release in Pakistan

After Ajay Devgn said that he will not release his forthcoming film Total Dhamaal in Pakistan, now the makers of Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi and Diljit Dosanjh’s “Arjun Patiala” also announce that they will not release the film in Pakistan.

Producer Dinesh Vijan announced on Tuesday via a statement that he has cancelled a contract with the Pakistan distributor of the films, and that his banner Maddock Films will not be releasing ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Arjun Patiala’ and ‘Made in China’ in the territory.

The decision comes in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack, in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed.

‘Luka Chuppi’ tells the story of a couple who decide to go for live-in and how their whole family gets involved with their idea. Directed by debutant Laxman Utekar, the film will hit the screens on March 1.

‘Arjun Patiala’, a romantic comedy directed by Rohit Jugraj, will release on May 3.

On 14 February 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-bound suicide bomber in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the death of 46 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.

Meanwhile, the film industry has unanimously decided to ban the Pakistani artistes. Indian music company, T-Series even unlisted and removed various composition sung by Pakistani music artistes from YouTube.
