Head of the India-based socio-spiritual organization Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS), Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is an Indian spiritual leader, social reformer, actor, director and singer. Born on 15 August 1967, Baba turns 50 recently.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is the only child of his parents. He was born to Naseeb Kaur and Maghar Singh on 15 August 1967, at Sri Gurusar Modia village in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. Ram Rahim was educated in a school in his village of Sri Gurusar Modia.
At the age of 6, he started helping his father by driving tractor on their field. His father was a follower of Shah SatnamJi, the second chief of Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) group. In 1990, Satnam declared Ram Rahim as his successor. This is how he became third chief of DSS, a group founded in 1948, by a man – Beparawah Mastana Ji Maharaj.
Dera chief has two daughters and a son. The elder daughter is Charanpreet Kaur Insan and the younger name is Amarpreet. Apart from two daughters, a daughter Honeypreet is adopted. Charanpreet Kaur’s husband name is Doctor Shan-A-Meet Insan while younger daughter Amarpreet’s husband name is Ruah-A-Meet Insan.
Jasmet, son of Gurmeet Ram Rahim, is married to Hussein, the daughter of former MLA, Harminder Singh Jassi of Bathinda.
Honeypreet Insan is daughter of MSG-fame Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the patron-in-chief of India’s biggest philanthropist organization Dera Sacha Sauda.
Like us, it would have been surprising for Honeypreet too, when Saint Ram Rahim nonchalantly decided to make movies for social reformation. Well, she made her acting debut in her father Saint Ram Rahim’s second movie MSG-2 The Messenger. Closely observing Saint Ram Rahim’s panache, she got to learn various skills behind the camera too. While she was assisting Saint Ram Rahim in art-direction, dress desigining and auditions, Saint Ram Rahim felt she can do wonders if she gets a chance to direct a movie.

The talent train doesn’t stop here. Saint Ram Rahim’s grandkids, Sweetluck and Sahib-e-Dil have also played important roles in the movie. Sweetluck is yet another prime example of how talent makes its way from one generation to the next. Little Sweetluck started singing when she was just about 4 years old, she also appeared in music videos of MSG 2 The Messenger movie.

He has 5 million followers
Ashram of Dera Sacha Sauda has been running for about 68 years in Sirsa district of Haryana. Dera Sacha Sauda’s empire is spread upto abroad. He also has Ashram and followers from America, Canada, England, Australia and UAE. Dera Sacha Sauda claims that he has around five crore followers in the world, out of which 25 lakh followers are in Haryana alone.

Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim walks in the convoy of luxury cars. A convoy of Black bars and black colored cars runs with Baba. Whenever they stop somewhere, their cars are covered with tent. Baba himself decides on the spot to which car he will sit in. The tent is removed only after they sit. This is done because of their safety purpose.

In one of his concert he sang a song called ‘Chocolate’ by suspending himself at 30 feet above ground level in a moving crane. In another incident, the Love Charger Baba drove a car in a stadium, by standing on the car’s seat on one leg and turning the steering with the other leg, blessing his followers.

According to Asia Book of Records, Singh holds a record of most(43) roles and responsibilities in a single film. He made this record in film Hind Ka Napak ko Jawab – MSG Lion Heart – 2. He guided and constructed several buildings in a records time like A Girl’s College in just 6 days, Girls`Hostel in 42 days, A Hall of area 2,00,000 sq. ft in 35 days, A cricket stadium with 6 stands and 75 yards boundaries in just 42 days, A 175 bedded Hospital in 17 days and A ashram in just 5 days.
Baba is Booked Under Section 376 (Rape)
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan is accused of rape. In 2002, one of his female followers alleged that she and two other females were raped by Ram Rahim in his den when she entered his secret chamber where he was watching a blue film. The rape victim later wrote a letter to the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the Judges of Punjab and Haryana court. In her letter she accused this Rockstar Baba of raping her. The court ordered a CBI probe. In 2007, CBI charged this Saint under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code.
