The couple got married in 1980, but the pleasure of becoming a father was received to Kapil after a long interval. For your information, Kapil became proud father of a baby girl Amiya after 14 years of marriage. Amiya was born on 16 January 1996.

She is older now and is a young woman who knows her mind, and I am quickly learning to let her guide me about how the younger generation thinks, and acts.” Kapil once said in an interview.
