Meet these forgotten heroes of The Indian Premier League!

The 11th season of the Indian Premier League kick started. Due to its success over the years, it is regarded as the best tournament in the cricketing world. There were some players who made it to the big stage but later faded away. So, today we are going to meet you the cricketers who were once the heroes of IPL but now faded away.

1. Swapnil Asnodhkar

Swapnil Asnodkar, an Indian first-class cricketer. He is a hard hitting right-handed opening batsman with a relatively short stature of around 5’5. He was one of the highly expected players to represent India in future during 2008. He played for Goa in first class cricket, and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. He played a total of 20 IPL matches in which he accumulated 423 runs at an average of 21.15. He played his last IPL match against Kings XI Punjab in the 2011 season. However, he is now not seen as a part of any team.

2Kamran Khan

Kamran Khan played in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals and later Pune Warriors, and represented Uttar Pradesh and Colts at domestic level. The son of a woodcutter, Khan has struggled with poverty. Kamran left cricket in 2013 for some unknown reasons.

3. Paul Valthaty

Paul Valthaty is an Indian cricketer who played for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League. However, after 2012 he was not seen playing for any team.

4Manvinder Bisla

Manvinder played as the wicket-keeper for Kolkata Knight Riders. He played a match winning innings of 89 off 48 balls against the Chennai Super Kings in the final of the 2012 IPL to guide his team to a 5 wicket win. He received the Man of the Match award for this innings. However, after 2015 he wasn’t seen playing for any team.

5. Joginder Sharma

Joginder Sharma is famous for his bowling. He was also the hero of ICC World Cup 2007. He took 12 wickets in 16 matches that he played for Chennai Super Kings. Joginder met with an accident in 2011 and thus could not continue his cricketing career. He is currently serving Haryana Police as a DSP.
