After an intriguing posters, now the makers of Mere Pyare Prime Minister has released the trailer of the film.

The trailer shows the journey of young Kanhaiya who lives in a slum in Mumbai with his single mother Sargam (Anjali Patil) in a village with no toilet facilities. After Sargam is raped on her way to relieving herself in the open, Kanhaiya decides to take matters into his own hands. He writes a letter to the prime minister and travels to the capital city with his friends to make himself heard.

The film claims to deal with topics like open defecation and sanitation.

The cast also includes Atul Kulkarni, who plays an official at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film is scheduled to release on March 15, 2019.
