The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) threatened singer Mika Singh for performing at US in a programme named ‘Hamara Pakistan’.
Singer Mika Singh got into the controversy soon after he announced the show in the United States. A video of him announcing the show to the public was soon circulated in social media, with various users censuring him for performing in the show.
The singer along with a Pakistani counterpart announces in the video that he will be performing in the show marking the independence day of India and Pakistan, which shares a common history, on August 12.

Mika says that he’s ‘looking forward’ to celebrate the Independence Day of India and Pakistan. “15 August ko humara Hindustan azaad hua tha aur 14 ko humaraPakistan,” he says in the video, shared widely on Twitter.

The 40-year-old singer drew criticism for saying ‘Apna Pakistan.’ Mika’s statement has left Twitter very angry.
An MNS leader, Ameya Khopkar challenged him on Twitter to hold a ‘MIC’ in Maharashtra now after this performance in US celebrating Pakistan’s independence.
