Star Plus’ popular show “Naamkarann” (helmed by Mahesh Bhatt and Guroudev Bhalla & Dhaval Gada) is all set to take a generation leap very soon. With this development, we will see a lot of new and fresh faces in the show which will give a new side to the story.
As we inform earlier, ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’ actress Sonal Vengurlekar will play the role of grown-up Avni also Nalini Negi (Doli Armaano Ki fame) would play grown-up Riya post leap but here’s an update!

A television website now reports that both Sonal and Nalini are now out of the project. A close source associated with the channel told Tellychakkar, “Sonal and Nalini, both shook hands with the production house but the channel had a change of mind. Stating that they wanted more popular faces they relieved the actresses, much to their displeasure”.
Now, as per the latest reports Vrushika Mehta who had last featured in Star Plus’ popular show “Ishqbaaaz” in which she played the character of Ishana opposite Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh) has been roped for the role of Riya. But there are reports that makers may end up getting Vrushik to play the role of Avni if they don’t get any other popular face.
