S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion is creating history in India and abroad. The film, which released worldwide on April 28, has become the first Indian movie ever to collect Rs. 1000 crore milestone at the international box office. But, did you know that, Ramya Krishnan was not the first choice to play the role of Sivagami Devi in the film?
Yes, you heard it right. Ramya Krishnan was not the first choice of Rajamouli. But bollywood actress Sridevi was approached for the role before Ramya.

According to reports, Sridevi’s demand for a huge remuneration made the makers rethink their decision. And the role was later offered to Ramya. Rajamouli gave Ramya one of her career-defining roles, and the rest is history now.
Though, it turned out that Sridevi was demanding a whopping Rs 6 crore to star in both the installments of ‘Baahubali’, as per a report on TOI. Later, Ramya Krishnan was roped in by makers instead. She is rumoured to have only charged Rs 2.5 crore, in the report.
Her performance in Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 received a wide appreciation from the audience and the media.
We wonder how Sridevi feels about turning down the role now.
