Film ‘Hera Pheri‘ director Neeraj Vora has reportedly been in coma since the last 10 months due to a heart attack, followed by a brain stroke, that he suffered on October 19 last year.
Initially, he was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) the director was later shifted to his dear friend, Feroz Nadiadwala’s residence called Barkat Villa, where a room has been converted into an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for his speedy recovery.
According to Nadiadwala, a ward boy, nurse and a cook have been appointed since March this year only to attend to Vora. Apart from them, he is visited by a physiotherapist, neuro surgeon, acupuncture therapist and a general physician every week to check on his health.

Vora has reportedly started showing signs of recovery. One of his friends who often visits him at Nadiadwala’s residence was quoted by a leading entertainment portal as saying that he has started responding to external stimuli and sensations and this, in turn, has raised expectations of him bouncing back to life soon.
Originally from Gujarat Vora made a mark in Bollywood with his work as a writer for Aamir Khan’s film Rangeela. His directorial debut was Khiladi 420 which was released in 2000.It was in 2006 Vora wrote and directed Phir Hera Pheri and directed many other films after that.
He was currently working on Hera Pheri 3 as a writer and director. His work has always been about complete family entertainment. The stories and characters created by him touch the hearts of people from all age groups. He is a serious comic writer and director.
