In New York, a truck mowed down people on a Manhattan bike path that killed eight people and injured 11 people. Police called it a terror attack.
What’s even more shocking is that the terror attack took place only a couple of blocks away from Priyanka Chopra’s house.
A 29-year-old man that the police identify as an immigrant from Uzbekistan, rented a vehicle and ran over a couple of people, refusing to stop. 8 people were killed and 11 were injured. The police managed to track him down and arrest him.
According to reports, the driver kept shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ which translates to ‘God is Great’.
Priyanka, who is currently shooting for the third season of her American TV series Quantico in New York, condemned the attack and tweeted, “This happened 5 blocks from my home. As I drive back home from work, dreary sirens remind me that this is the state of the world.” She also offered her condolences to the people ‘affected by the tragedy.’
