Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film Padmaavat has been released in cinemas. After attacking several theatres and various properties, the Karni Sena protestors has attacked school bus in Gurgaon.

A group of protestors reportedly pelted stones at a bus belonging to GD Goenka School, which was carrying children at the time of the incident, near Bhondsi, breaking the vehicle’s windows.

The driver, Parvesh Kumar, said no one was injured and the attackers ran away when the police came. One of the teachers who was present in the bus said they had made the children sit on the floor of the bus.

As per reports, the protestors even torched a state bus in Haryana.

Meanwhile, the government of Uttar Pradesh has ensured full safety to the moviegoers. Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said, “We will ensure safety to the theatres and take stern action against those taking law and order into their hands.”

Meanwhile, Fearing violence, some multiplex owners in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa have said they will not screen the film.

The decision of the Multiplex Association of India, which represents about 75 percent of the multiplex owners in the country, came as Rajput outfits and other fringe elements vandalised malls, burnt vehicles, and issued open threats to theatre owners and public in their bid to stall its release, claiming distortion of history.
