Looks like problems for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his film Padmavati has no signs of end. The movie has already faced threats from the Rajput outfit Shri Rajput Karni Sena in the past and the production of the movie has also faced some troubles. The controversy continues to rear its ugly head yet again.

The Karni Sena recently gave another stern warning to Bhansali and his team. Karni Sena founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi told the Deccan Chronicle “In case, a controversial shot is added to the upcoming movie Padmavati, the country won’t tolerate it.”

The leader also talked about how communities like theirs were struggling with reservations. “Marathas in Maharashtra, Patidars in Gujarat are demanding reservation. We are going to join hands with such communities to drum up support to make our presence felt to the government. We are not demanding that reservation should be given on financial status. Right now we are demanding review of the reservation to find out the communities benefited by it and the people who had failed to reap its benefit,” Kalvi was further quoted.

It’s very clear that the Karni Sena won’t make it easy for Sanjay to shoot Padmavati. There have been attacks on the makers, the set and the crew in the past. They’ve vandalized two sets of the film in Jaipur and Kolhapur.

Padmavati was slated to hit the theatres in November this year, but word has it that there might be a delay in the release given all these attacks that have been happening on the sets of the film.
