Earlier, there were news doing the rounds that John Abraham has terminated his contract with KriArj and intends to release the film under his banner, JA Entertainment.

But now, in the latest development in the case, the actor gets into trouble as an FIR has been filed against him and his production company in the Khar police station by Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment accusing him of other charges including breach of trust, fraud, misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement in regards to the film Parmanu.

A statement by KriArj Entertainment as quoted in DNA read: “FIR has been registered by Khar Police Station against John Abraham and his company JA Ent after criminal complaint was filed by Kriarj Entertainment for commission of various criminal offences including cheating, breach of trust, fraud, misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement due to John and his company duping KriArj Entertainment out of the crores of rupees invested by KriArj Entertainment towards the production of the film Parmanu.”

Earlier, JA Entertainment after parting ways with co-producers KriArj Entertainment over material breaches had issued a statement which said: “Delay in payments/non-payments (from KriArj), have caused delays in the post-production work after the film’s principal shoot was completed by us in time and on schedule last year.”

The film was originally slated to release on December 8 last year. However, the release was then deferred to February, only to be pushed further to March 2. Since Prernaa Arora’s [of KriArj Entertainment] co-production Pari was releasing on the same day.

Now, amidst the fallout between its makers, Parmanu is slated to release on May 4.
