Rapido driver abuses a women over extra charges
A shocking incident has came into light from Mumbai, when a techie woman Oshin Bhatt, alleged a Rapido driver for abusing and threatening her for attempting to overcharge for a ride.
Oshin mentioned that the ab driver has listed his car under ‘economy’ category which attracts more clients and booking at lower fares than premium one. However, the driver asked for more charges once she booked the cab. Adding to the confusion, the vehicle she was provided with fell under the “Premium” category instead of “Economy.”
Economy rides are often less cost effective whereas premium cars involve Sedan, which costs more. When Ohshin refused to pay the extra amount, the situation escalated. The driver resorted to threats and verbal abuse, messaging her:

“Cancel kar do varna pel dunga khade khade (Cancel the ride or I will beat you up).” He further dared to say her “Bhikari ki aulad, saste me chiye Paidal Ja”.
Rapido quickly responded to the compliant
Responding to the issue, Rapido issued an apology through its official handle, “Rapido cares”. The company acknowledged the complaint, stating:
“We fully understand the seriousness of this matter, and we deeply apologize for the captain’s unprofessional behavior. Kindly share the ride details via DM so that we can prioritize taking action against the captain and provide you with an update.”
