Sunil Grover may have given the audience one of their most favourite moments on television with his characters like ‘Gutthi’ and ‘Doctor Gulati,’ but the comedian says it is tough to have a recall value on small screen.
The 39-year-old actor, who will soon be seen playing a journalist in “Coffee with D,” says he would love to do more movies and play some memorable characters on big screen as well.

“I would love to work in the movies. There’s a different sort of enjoyment working in the movies it’s like a test match, where everything happens with a proper procedure. You live a journey of a character which is not the case on television.
According to me the memory of TV is very less. People watch you, they enjoy your role and then they forget you just like that. It’s very rare that people remember your character on TV,” Grover told PTI.
The comedian, however, feels fortunate that he has a platform (The Kapil Sharma Show) where he can show his talent without any inhibitions and has managed to give some memorable performances.
“I feel fortunate that I’m associated to the platform where, people actually remember my few acts. But generally they forget, when it comes to TV.”
In “Coffee with D” Grover will be seen playing a prime time news anchor and is happy that he did not have to wear any extra costumes for the role. Grover says the idea of an anchor interviewing an underworld don excited him.
The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Zakir Hussain, Dipannita Sharma and Anjana Sukhani.
Directed by Vishal Mishra “Coffee with D” is slated to release on January 6 next year.
