Photograph movie review
Story of the movie:
The plot revolves around a struggling street photographer Rafi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), based in Mumbai, who works day and night to pay off an old family debt. His grandmother (Farrukh Jaffar) wishes to see him married and constantly pressurizes him to find a suitable match. He convinces his grandmother by showing her a picture of a shy stranger, Miloni (Sanya Malhotra). When Rafi’s grandmother further prods to introduce her to his fiancé, he tracks down Miloni, a student belonging to a middle-class family. Rafi convinces her to fake their relationship, to which Miloni readily agrees. Despite the difference in their culture, status and economic background, the two form a unique bond.
Star Performance:
Sanya Malhotra is superb in her role. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is good as the taciturn Rafi. While, Farrukh Jaffar as Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s grandma is the biggest takeaway for me from the film.
Music Direction:
The film’s music is good. The background score fits just perfectly to the scenes adding its magical touch.
Direction:
The film’s direction is good. The cinematography, the background score and the performances are good. The usage of lights throughout different scenes is conducted masterfully. While, the editing of the film could be even better.
