Recently the Oscar Awards 2017, was happened in Los Angeles which honored the best of films, and, actors. All eyes were on Bollywood’s star Priyanka Chopra and the movie ‘Lion’ star Sunny Pawar at all events.
But one Bollywood star was unnoticed untill now. Anushka Sharma revealed that she was also present at the show ‘in spirit’, and even tried her best to prevent the Best Picture goof up before it was made.
According to the actress, the presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway couldn’t hear her or understand her Hindi dialect, and hence went ahead and announced ‘La La Land’ as the winner over ‘Moonlight’.

To all of those who have missed the climax of the prestigious awards, because of PwC accountant Brian Cullinan’s mistake, presenters Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty mistakenly proclaimed La La Land as the best-picture winner instead of Moonlight. Cullinan gave the wrong envelope to Dunaway and Beatty was a duplicate of the previously announced win for Emma Stone for best actress and not the best picture. Cullinan has now been taken off Oscar duty.
For those wondering what brought this on, it is not that the actress is still reeling over the big Oscar flub, but rather an online promotional strategy for her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’.
Using ‘#ShashiWasThere’ fans have joined in to post pictures of their ‘sightings’ of Shashi – Anushka’s friendly ghost character from the film.
