Bollywood actor Raj Babbar’s son Prateik Babbar is reportedly dating 27-year-old writer-director-editor Sanya Sagar, daughter of a politician.
Well, now here is a happy news for the actor’s fans as the couple who are dating since early 2017 has decided to take their relationship on the next level.
If reports are to be believed, Prateik and Sanya is all set to get engaged on January 22 in Lucknow. It will be a family affair, with only a few close friends attending the do.
A source close to Prateik revealed to the daily, “The engagement will be a close-knit affair. Their families are tight-lipped about it, as Prateik wants to go a little easy and stay away from the limelight unless it’s work-related. While they have decided to get engaged in Lucknow, the date is subject to change as the families are yet to finalise a few things.”
Sanya Sagar hails from Lucknow. They’ve even met each other’s parents informally. The couple have known each other for 8 years, but got into a relationship only one year ago when Sanya returned from London after completing a year-long post-graduate course from Goldsmiths, University of London, with specialisation in film.

Sanya has graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in fashion communication. Sanya also has a one-year diploma in practical filmmaking from the London Film Academy and has worked as a production assistant on the Danny Huston-starrer, ‘The Last Photograph’, and as a production runner on the Salma Hayek short, 11th Hour.
The duo are often spotted together on dinner dates in Mumbai.
Prateik Babbar, son of late actress Smita Patil and actor-politician Raj Babbar, started his acting career with a small but noticeable role in ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ in 2008. He followed up his act with films like ‘Dhobi Ghat’, ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’. His last release came in 2013 with ‘Issaq’.
The 30-year-old actor is set to return to Bollywood with two films, Ahmed Khan’s ‘Baaghi 2’, featuring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, in which he plays the antagonist.
