Prateik Babbar, who made an impressive debut in ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ (2008), and was a natural in films like ‘Dun Maaro Dum’, ‘Dhobi Ghat’, ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’, ‘Aarakshan’, ‘My Friend Pinto’. He may have stayed away from Bollywood for a long time and exploring theatre but Prateik is now all prepared to start his new innings in the industry.
The actor is all set to resurrect his career via producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Baaghi 2“. The film is being helmed by Ahmed Khan and has Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani as the lead pair.
Although there aren’t many details about his role, we hear it will be a never-seen-before avatar of the actor. On the other hand, it is being said that the actor will start the prep for the same soon before commencing the shoot next month.[ecp code=”4″]
As per the source of Mirror was quoted thus: “It is an important role and Prateik suits the character perfectly. He was signed recently and is extremely excited because Tiger is a childhood friend and this is the first time they will be sharing screen space together.”
In the past, Sajid has launched many young faces, including Tiger and Kriti Sanon in Sabbir Khan’s “Heropanti”. Now, he will be launching Disha as the lead in Baaghi 2 and later Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan. “Prateik will be seen in a never seen before avatar in the film,” adds the source.
Prateik, had earlier come out in the open about substance abuse and had also asserted last year, that he is in the process of reviving his life. “The last five years were the worst years of my life. I took everything for granted and I was neither doing well professionally nor was I satisfied emotionally. Then, one day, a switch inside me flipped and I gave it all up,” Prateik had mentioned in an earlier interview.
