Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure’s son Priyaank Sharma is all set to make his bollywood debut in Sab Kushal Mangal.
The film will be directed by new comer Karan Kashyap and produced by Nitin Manmohan’s daughter Prachi.
The film will also features Akshaye Khanna in a pivotal role. The film will go on floors soon.
Priyaank to make his bollywood debut
Priyaank shared the news on his Instagram profile with the Mumbai Mirror article carrying the news of his debut.
He captioned the pic in which he’s seen napping under a blanket on his bed and the newspaper placed on his back – “When your dreams wait for you to wake up!! ???? #dreamstoreality#sabkushalmangal @prachimanmohan love you bro ❤️”.
An elated Padmini told Mirror, “I’m excited. The atmosphere at home has always been non-filmi, there was no pressure on Priyaank to become an actor or a filmmaker. The choice is his.”
Speaking about casting Priyaank in the film, Prachi told Mumbai Mirror: “I went with my team to their house and gave him and his parents a narration. They laughed and laughed and immediately gave a nod to the film.”
Prachi knows Priyaank from their studying days. In fact, she instantly recognized him when her casting director sent her Priyaank’s picture, “We had studied in the same school and in fact were in the same class.”
“It’s been two months since Priyaank began his workshops, he knows the entire script by now. He is very hardworking and we can’t wait to begin,” Prachi said.
‘Sab Kushal Mangal’ is a situational comedy set in Jharkhand.
It has been written by Karan Kashyap himself. The director has earlier assisted Mani Ratnam in Raavan, Shimit Amin in Chak De! India.
