Vastavikta made her bollywood debut from the film Aisi Bhi Kya Jaldi Hai in 1996. Before this movie, however, Saajan director Lawrence D’Souza had in 2000 launched a film titled Dil Bhi Kya Cheez Hai with Vastavikta as the heroine opposite actor Arjan Bajwa, who was known as Deepak Bajwa those days. D’Souza, however, replaced Vastavikta with Sanobar Kabir after shooting for a few days owing to her “lack of acting ability”. He signed her for the film because she was Rajkumar’s daughter.

Vastavikta was also seen in supernatural thriller ‘Eight’ in 2006. Even after struggling for 10 years, she cannot make her mark in bollywood and today she is living an anonymous life.
Vastavikta is a well-educated lady as she holds a degree in Arts from S.I.T Manhattan, New York. After finishing her degree course from New York, she took acting lessons under Vidur Sir and attended workshops with Satyadev Dubey and Shernaz Patel. She also learnt jazz under Shiamak Davar and went to Terrence Lewis classes.
