Sanjay Dutt’s yet to be titled biopic has been in news ever since Rajkumar Hirani has announced the project. It took a lot of people by surprise that a biopic has been made on Sanjay Dutt as he is still alive and getting his life on screen wouldn’t have been a cakewalk.
With Ranbir Kapoor donning a completely different look to step into Dutt’s shoes, the excitement around the film is increasing by the day. In another surprising development, it is being reported that Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the biopic, might have a cameo in his own film.

The film is going to project Dutt’s life, highlighting his lows and highs – both in the personal and professional front. Hirani will reportedly play the role of film director Subhash Ghai, who is known for making guest appearances in most of his films. Ghai has directed dutt in films like “Vidhaata” and “Khalnayak”.
Hirani’s character will approach Ranbir (Dutt) to make a biopic on him and joke about it in the film though it later turned out to be a reality.
However, nothing official on Hirani’s cameo has been said.
For the role of Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in by the director. His transformation into Dutt has been appreciated by the viewers. From his walking style to that hunchback, Ranbir totally transformed himself just like Sanjay Dutt.
The Sanjay Dutt biopic also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna. The Sanjay Dutt biopic is scheduled for a March 2018 release.
