Bollywood actress Rani Mukherji who is currently busy in the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Hichki’ was supposed to appear on Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty’s reality show, India’s Next Superstar on Monday. But the actress had to cancel the shoot at the last moment due to excruciating back pain.
According to reports, the actress arrived on the sets on time, but after the pain aggravated, she decided to skip the shoot.
“Rani has been in excruciating pain for the past three days. She is a thorough professional and despite her back issue she landed up on the sets of India’s Next Superstar today,” the insider said.

“She was getting ready to shoot with her best friend Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty and that’s when she again felt a surge in pain. She couldn’t move. Her pain was excruciating again and unfortunately she had to rush back home to be attended by her doctor. We hope she gets well soon,” the source added.
Hichki will mark Rani Mukherji’s return to cinema after three years. She plays the role of Naina Mathur who has a nervous system disorder, Tourette Syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds.
Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, Hichki is slated to release on February 23, 2018.
