After Akshay Kumar, Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao and Shah Rukh Khan, now power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have come forward to contribute their part to fight COVID-19.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone pledges to donate to PM-CARES Fund
Deepika announced her contribution on social media in English and Hindi post. Her post read, “In the times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-Cares Fund and hope that you will too. We’re all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind. Deepika and Ranveer.” The same post was uploaded by Ranveer too.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 21-days of complete lockdown till April 14 in order to combat pandemic COVID-19. So far, India has recorded over 2,902 cases and 68 people have died due to coronavirus, as of April 4.

Meanwhile, on April 3 Narendra Modi addressed the nation and urged citizens to light up candle and diyas for 9 minute at 9 PM on April 5 to ‘end the darkness’ created by coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic.
