Shoma Rathod, who is born in Raipur and brought up in Assam and Nepal, was very fond of acting from her childhood days. Till date, the actress has done lot of cameos in the TV shows, but got recognition after playing Mircha in SAB TV serial “Lapataganj”. “I do not want to miss any chance of making people laugh. I love doing comedy. Audiences like my comic timing and maybe that’s the reason, I am getting so many offers for a comedy role.

Prefer to stay simple…

Shoma said “Honestly, I hate doing make-up. I prefer staying simple. But in the acting field, you cannot refuse applying make-up (laughs). In the show, Amma compares her beauty with Katrina Kaif; she is very strong. But in reality I am like a tom boy who hardly cares about her appearance. I hate doing shopping and other girlish stuff. So in short, I am totally opposite of the character I play on-screen,” she added.

Apart from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai, Shoma is also doing another comedy show titled, “May I Come In Madam?”
