Talking about the film’s reception and her performance Raveena says, “I had no clue I was getting the award. I was reading about Priyanka Chopra getting the award when I got their letter. I am glad that I waited for the right film and have got reviews saying I am top of the game. That kind of appreciation is better than why did she come back to do such a trashy film?”
“I am proud that films like ‘Mom’, ‘Pink’ and ‘Maatr’ are being made today and we are not only making commercial entertainers but picking up topics that are relevant and get people to think. It’s a great time for women in Indian cinema as we are getting to choose relevant films that talk about society.” she added.
Apart from Raveena, Juhi Chawla, Vivek Oberoi, Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Kapil Sharma and Shilpa Shetty also won big at the Dadasaheb Phalke awards.
