While talking to Spotboye.com, she said “It’s too soon to talk about her at length. It hasn’t sunk in yet. It was very shocking. My mother was my best friend. I was not ready. Frankly, I could never have been ready. I have lost my mother too early. The void cannot be filled by anybody ever. All I can hope is that her soul is at peace and she has gone to a place where she has a better existence than she had here.”

Mrunmayee is married to Vinay Waikul. Mrunmayee and Vinay became man and wife in 2014. Vinay works as an Assistant Director.

Mrunmayee has worked as Script Supervisor on many films including Dangal, PK and Gulaab Gang. She was an Assistant Director on Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate.

Reema was prominently recognised for her roles in both Hindi and Marathi films. She debuted in films in 1979 with the Marathi film “Sinhasan”. Workaholic Reema had even shot for a film that wound up two months ago before she died.
