When former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa passed away at the age of 68 on Monday night at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, the country was thrown into a state of grief.
Soon after the news of Jayalalithaa’s demise, condolences started pouring in on Twitter, not just from the political but also the film industry too.
Stars from both Bollywood and South-Indian film industry including names like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Shatrughan Sinha and music maestro A R Rahman on Tuesday mourned the death of India’s ‘Iron lady’.
Megastar Rajnikanth paid his respectful tribute to the late veteran Amma on Twitter. He wrote “Not only Tamil Nadu, but the entire India has lost a bold leader. I pray the Almighty for the peace of soul to our honorable Chief Minister“, tweeted Rajinikanth.
