It is a sad day for Kapoor family, as late actor Raj Kapoor’s wife Krishna Raj Kapoor has pa sses away. Krishna Raj, the eldest member of Kapoor family, reportedly took her last breath this morning (1st October) following a cardiac arrest. She was 87.
Talking to PTI, son Randhir Kapoor said, “My mother pa ssed away at about 5 am today due to cardiac arrest…old age was another factor. We are deeply saddened by her demise.”
She is survived by her five children Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Kapoor Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Kapoor Jain and Rajiv Kapoor. Her last rites will be performed at Chembur crematorium.
Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Ridhima also posted a tribute to her grandmother.

Bollywood too took to Twitter to offer condolences.

Krishna Raj Kapoor tied the knot to Raj Kapoor in May 1946.
