Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is currently in New York from quite some for the medical treatment of an undisclose disease.

It was speculated that the legendary actor is suffering from cancer, but, none of the Kapoor member revealed the real reason of him being in the US.

But now, veteran filmmaker Rahul Rawail reveals that Rishi is now cancer free. The filmmaker took to Facebook and sharing a picture with Rishi Kapoor wrote, “Rishi Kapoor (Chintu) is cancer-free.” 

Well now, it has been confirmed that the actor was suffering from cancer. But now, the actor is free from cancer and this post came out to be good news for all his fans.

Rahul Rawail has directed films like Love Story (1981), Betaab (1983), Arjun (1985), Dacait (1987) and Anjaam (1994) among others.

It was in September last year that Rishi Kapoor had taken to Twitter and announced that he was flying to America for medical treatment. In the same tweet, he had urged his well-wishers to not speculate and worry adding that he will be back soon.

He had tweeted, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rishi was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk that co-starred Taapsee Pannu.
