Bollywood actor Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’ is one of the much-awaited films of the year. The film has been in the news ever since it was announced.
Recently, Priyanka Chopra‘s sudden exit from the film grabbed many eyeballs. Since than, speculations were round that Katrina Kaif will replace the actress and the news has finally been confirmed by director of the film Ali Abbas Zaffar, in a statement to Mumbai Mirror.
And now, Salman himself confirmed the news and introduces Katrina as a female lead. The actor took to his social media platforms Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and posted a stunning picture of Katrina clad in an off-shoulder black dress with her hair left open, and he wrote in caption – “Ek sundar aur shusheel ladki jiska Naam hai @katrinakaif …. swagat hai aapka #Bharat ki zindagi mein ….”

Earlier, director Ali Abbas Zafar told in an interview that “I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past. Katrina got on board in the ‘Nick’ of time for this project.”
Ali and Katrina have previously worked together in Tiger Zinda Hai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and share a great bond with each other.
On a related note, Bharat will be an onscreen adaptation of 2014 South Korean movie Ode To My Father. This will mark the director and Salman Khan’s third collaboration.
Salman’s character in the film will undergo various transformations depending spanning different age group. The film also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover.
