Salman Khan to launch veteran actress Asha Parekh’s biography ‘The Hit Girl’

Be it filmmaker Karan Johar ‘s much talked-about biography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, Bollywood’s evergreen beauty Rekha’s biography titled ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’ or actor Rishi Kapoor’s autobiography ‘Khullam Khulla’, celebrities are making their stories known to the world, completely up-close and uncensored.

Reports have it, superstars Shah Rukh Khan is working on his auto-biography while Hrithik Roshan also wants to pen down a book on his life.

Joining the bandwagon of books is none other than veteran actress Asha Parekh. The actress’ biography, written by filmmaker-critic Khalid Mohammed, is titled ‘The Hit Girl’ which will be launched at a suburban hotel on April 10.

Senior journalist and author Khalid Mohamed has written the book on the Bollywood legend’s life, which focuses on the ups and downs, in her career and personal life.According to reports, Salman Khan had been requested to write the foreword in the book, to which the actor seems to have agreed.

Asha Parekh shares a great emotional bond with Salman and his family and is a regular visitor to Galaxy Apartments, their Bandra residence. She happens to be a close friend of his mother Salma Khan. She is also a regular at most family functions hosted by the Khan family.

Khalid Mohamed asked Salman Khan to write the foreword, he immediately agreed to do it. He took about a fortnight to come with a clean and pure copy of it. He remarked it as ‘Salman, dil se’ where he pens down his thoughts about the book and Asha Parekh’s long lasting career in the industry.

Asha ji has given several hits like ‘Kati Patang’, ‘Pyar Ka Mausam’, ‘Teesri Manzil’, ‘Ziddi’, ‘Mere Sanam’ and many more. It would be quite interesting to see her.
