The information about the deal has been confirmed by Kishore Biyani of Future Group. He told DNA that he’s opening a food hall in the leased premises. The leased property includes a basement of 609.35 sq m, lower floor of 373.21 sq m, first floor of 579.61 sq m and second floor of 578.54 sq m of the building, which is yet to be named. The property has been leased for a period of 60 months.
The deal was signed last week at the registration office and a copy of the agreement is available with DNA. On Salman’s behalf, it was his 80-year-old father Salim Khan who did the paperwork.
The actor bought the property for nearly Rs 120 crore in 2012 to construct his own commercial building. The property was earlier a society with around 16 flats, which the actor later demolished. He started the construction work of the building in 2013-14 and occupancy was approved earlier this year. All the building permissions for the property are in Salman’s name.
