Sanjay shares, “There is a reason why it took me so long to do a TV show again. Television is a woman-centric medium and I was not really interested in the saas-bahu saga. I wanted something that would give substantial work to both the men and women in the show. Also, the earlier show that I did was almost like a film. It had Karisma Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan and Arshad Warsi.”
After a Goa schedule, the show is currently being filmed in Mumbai. The source adds that plans are afoot at Star Plus to promote the show in a big way ahead of its premiere in August.
When asked Sanjay if he is looking forward to doing more shows and he says, “I had done some good films with good co-actors. Maybe, I did not have everything going in my favour because I was not at the right place at the right time, but that does not matter now. I became a producer (‘Tevar’) and feel that if something like this comes up on TV, then why not?”
Meanwhile, Sanjay will also be seen on the big screen in “Bombay Talkies 2” as part of Dibakar Banerjee’s short.
