The Supreme Court has given a big decision in the favor of the film Padmaavat. The court ordered that the film will release in all states on January 25 and suspended the ban orders by four states.
The film which was set to clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Padman will now release solely. Yes, If reports are to be believed, the makers of Padman postponed the release date of the film to Feburary 9.
Just hours after the news broke, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali held a joint press conference to elaborate about this decision.
In an interview Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “Padmaavat has been made after facing a lot of difficulties, we decided on release date of 25 Jan but it was with Akshay Kumar for release of his film ‘PadMan’, we requested him to move release date of his film ahead, he agreed, will be grateful to him for a lifetime for what he has done.”

“I think the industry and the world can understand the place in which we live, is to be with each other, stand by and respect each other. And, I think the fraternity would be proud of what Akshay has done today. This kind of gesture would have been quite impossible in this industry.” he added.
Akshay was also asked why couldn’t PadMan be released on time and Padmaavat be moved. To this, Akshay said, “They have a reason to release it this time. It is essential for them to release the film as soon as possible. So I understand it. The point is not about fighting or clashing, I will also tell you that we can both easily come out on this date. There are 4500 to 5000 theatres and both can share it. At this time, the stake of their film is much higher than mine.”

With this, the biggest clash of 2018 has been avoided as Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmaavat now have a solo release.
PadMan will now clash with Sidharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary.
