Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most coveted names across all formats of cricket. The star skipper has led the Indian Cricket team to glorious victories before he finally stepped down. And even in the Indian Premier League, he headlined his former team Chennai Super Kings to win the league two years consecutively and almost every time made it to the finale. Undoubtedly, he is one of the precious gems of Rising Pune Supergiant, his new team.
However, there’s one franchise team that’s is desperate or rather dying to get Dhoni on their side. Owner and Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan is also one of them. SRK has shown interest and wants the former India captain playing in his team next year.

“Yaar main toh usko apna Pyjama bech ke bhi kharid lun, wo aaye toh auction mein (I’m ready to sell my pyjama for buying MS Dhoni but that can happen only when he is available for auction right?),” Shahrukh Khan told Sporstwallah in an interview.
Shah Rukh may have his chance next season when the contracts of all players playing are up for renewal.
Dhoni might not have enjoyed the best of IPLs this year with Rising Pune Supergiant, having first lost the captaincy to Steven Smith and then failing to put in match-winning performances consistently, but that doesn’t take away the fact that Dhoni has been one of the best captains to have led in the IPL.
Dhoni guided the now-suspended Chennai Super Kings to two Indian Premier League titles. The yellow brigade won the two trophies in 2010 and 2011 editions.
It remains to be seen if Shah Rukh manages to get his wish and land MS Dhoni or not since the wicketkeeper will be highly sought come auction day.
