According to reports, the actor’s farmhouse in Alibaug in Mumbai was sealed by IT Department on Wednesday. The action was taken under Benami Property Act.

The major allegation against actor Shah Rukh Khan is that he made an application to purchase agricultural land for agriculture, but instead constructed a super-luxury bungalow at Alibaug.

Spread in an area of 19,960 square meters, with huge swimming pool and one private helipad, the bungalow is created on a scenic land of the size of 11,000 square feet. This large piece of land is made up of 5 plots which run along the sea. The beach extends further for about 20 meters from the land, making it a property with enormous natural beauty.

According to reports, the IT department had taken cognizance of the property violations in November 2017 and had issued notice against the actor in December 2017. The property was finally attached by the IT department in the first week of January 2018.

As of now, the IT department has also issued a showcause notice to Déjà vu Farms and Shah Rukh Khan.

Khan needs to file a reply before the authority within 90 days. Once the adjudication authority confirms the attachment, I-T authorities can initiate criminal action too.
