Shahid Kapoor takes 2-hours long shower
Shahid recently shared the experience of shooting for his upcoming film Kabir Singh. The actor reveals that that his role required him to smoke cigarettes and beedis and snort cocaine for a major portion of the shoot. So to remove all that smell from himself, Shahid had to resort to 2-hour long showers.
He said, “I don’t endorse smoking at all. However, the role required it, as the protagonist uses it to channel his angst and rage. It wasn’t easy, and it came to a point where I smoked almost 20 cigarettes a day. It would take me close to two hours to shower and get rid of the smells before I could return home to my children,” said Shahid.
Shahid shared that recreating a film like Arjun Reddy was a demanding job. “Creating a remake is damn tough. You have loved it for what it was but you can’t go out there and copy it. It has to be a rediscovery,” he told a news agency.
