Ravi Bhalotia, a textile business man from Bhiwandi had filed a case against Shilpa and Raj, Kundra and three others on April 27. Bhalotia had alleged that Best Deal TV Pvt, an online shopping channel, headed by the accused had duped him of Rs 24 lakhs. He said that he was a vendor with the channel, which sold bedsheets through TV and collected money on his behalf, but the money was not given to him. Raj was questioned for three hours by police last week. The couple got interim relief from Thane session court.
In reply Kunder soon released a statement in which he said that “the vendor has misused his connections in various stations”.
“This is a civil matter and an abuse of the law. We have tight contracts signed and on the contrary, the vendor owes us money for not fulfilling orders. Beat deal is, unfortunately, being wound up due to the business failing and we are following the laws of the land to close the various matters properly,” Kundra said in a statement.
