According to a report in Mid-day, Parhad has claimed that actress’ late father, Surendra Shetty, had borrowed Rs 21 lakh as financial aid for his business and late Shetty was supposed to repay the amount with interest in January 2017.
However, Shilpa and her family has denied all the allegations and stated that she will be up for hearing on January 29 at the Magistrate Court.
The Mid-Day report mentions that Parhad claimed that he shared a cordial relationship with Shilpa’s father and that he lend the said amount in 2015 to Shetty for some business purpose.
According to reports, “Amra paid the first instalment of Rs 8 lakh on August 20, 2015, from his automobile agency account, then a second one of Rs 5 lakh on September 5, 2015 from his personal account, and the third one of Rs 8 lakh on October 7, 2015 from his automobile agency’s account. All payments were made through cheques drawn in the favour of Surendra’s firm ‘Corgifts.”

Parhad further also went on to claim that Surendra Shetty had told him that his daughters and wife are a part of his business and are aware of all the developments. Surendra Shetty, however, passed away in October 2016 and Parhad claims that Sunanda and her daughters denied the loan was ever taken and refused to make payments when he approached them.
Speaking to mid-day, Shilpa said, “I have never had any involvement in my late father’s business, and have no knowledge at all of the financial dealings of the company. This gentleman is misleading the media. I knew him in the capacity of our family car mechanic that’s all.”
